So...who knows
Aug. 14th, 2021 02:29 pmI've had a cough this week.
Last night we didn't go to game night as my wife started coughing and her temperature was up.
We've both had Covid and recovered.
And, we both are fully vaccinated.
But... There is a chance this Delta thing can get through that. The odds are low, but...
Either way, staying home this weekend and having Tom run practice for us tomorrow.

Oct. 25th, 2020 11:38 amWow. About 100 pieces of mobile infantry headed south the week before the election.
That's coincidence, right?
Right?

Well, now I'm awake...
Apr. 24th, 2018 04:15 amI dreamed our bedroom door burst open and a figure of shadow ran across our bedroom.
Although it had the motion of someone running, it moved at walking speed.
It didn't come towards the bed, but ran across from the door towards the bathroom on the other side of the room.
I woke up, it was 3:58.
I woke up certain someone was in our apartment. I've gotten up and checked. All the doors are locked. There is no sign of anything. The bedroom door was not open.
But, I'm not sure I'm going to be getting back to sleep...

Waiting for the sun to go out.
Aug. 20th, 2017 05:20 pmThis morning we got up at 5:30 local time. (A comfortable 8:30 our normal time that we're still more or less on.)
We were on the road just after 6.
For all the reasons of hotels, cars and chaos already mention, we gave up on seeing the eclipse in Idaho. I'm a bit sad as I've never been to Idaho and wanted to see it. But, we're still flying out of there, so not too bad.
We've settled on Baker City Oregon for where to watch it. 1 minute 36 seconds of total eclipse. Not the best, but not too bad either.
Google said it was about 5 1/2 hours from Seattle to here. We did it in 6, but stopped for gas and lunch, so not too bad.
There was hardly any traffic. So, the whole "traffic apocalypse" thing isn't happening here.
We got here just after noon, and walked around for a bit. They were having an eclipse festival. We stopped there and a the local historical museum next to it.
Then, we came back to the hotel. No where near as nice a room as I'd normally get for the money, but in the path.
We'll go off for dinner soon and then wait for the eclipse.
I'm a bit worrried it was getting cloudy, but the weather says clear tomorrow. Hope it's right!

I’m still freaked out
Mar. 20th, 2008 09:54 amI had posted a 3 page rant on why I’m still freaked out (you know who)
called my wife Monday. I erased it soon after thinking about advice I’d
been given before of “get some balls”. But, it was up long enough for at
least one person to see it, and apparently read it.
So, the upshot is, I’m still freaked out.
Anyone who really needs the 3 page reason, I can send it to you.
(Really, it was up the length of time it took me to walk to the bathroom and back. Some folks, me too, hit that refresh an awful lot...)
