Well, that’s that then
May. 2nd, 2025 11:15 amToday at 9AM the company management announced we were going out of business.
Today.
Before lunch.
Everyone. One HR and one manager will remain until Wednesday to close things out.
Two weeks severance. The folks in January got a month. Some folks are pretty mad about that.
I’m already on the phone with my old boss from the last place who’s pitching me consulting for one of his clients. We’ll see how that goes.

The wee folks
Apr. 5th, 2025 05:35 pmThis week I’ve been planning what to do in Ireland in July.
Today as we were getting ready to go out to dinner, I found an Irish penny on top of my wallet on our desk.
Haven’t been there in 6 years. (OK, we spent 2 hours changing planes there last year, but did nothing with cash.)
We were out earlier today, so my wallet hadn’t been anywhere unusual, just in my pocket. No transactions today were cash, so no change.
Very strange.
