It was a busy year.

The company I worked for went out of business with very little warning: https://fbhjr.dreamwidth.org/1599216.html or https://fbhjr.livejournal.com/1601934.html

I started communicating with my mother again after 29 years when she fell and was hospitalized in late May. We still did not have a particularly good relationship: https://fbhjr.dreamwidth.org/1602377.html or https://fbhjr.livejournal.com/1605131.html

I got a new job. It’s very good except for the drive. I now spend 2 1/2 to 3 hours in transit each day: https://fbhjr.dreamwidth.org/1602771.html or https://fbhjr.livejournal.com/1605599.html

In July my wife and I went on a cruise that started in Ireland, went around Scotland, to the Orkney and Shetland islands, over to Norway and down to Copenhagen.

I’ve had worse years.
But, this one wasn’t super happy.
Hopefully 2026 will be better.

oh, Frank, i didn't see about your mother. i'm just catching up. i know it must be sort of a complicated closure, but i'm thinking about you and wishing healing.
