We worked Monday as normal. Then, Tuesday morning went to the airport. We were lucky to get a flight out of Worcester instead of Boston as it’s much closer.

But, smaller and closer has other issues. Security didn’t open until 1/2 before we got on the plane. So, we spent a lot of time with Johnny Appleseed waiting for them to open.

But, they did, we got through and the plane arrived.

As there was a storm coming up the coast we took a longer path inland to Orlando, but still got there only just after noon.

We went to the market, got supplies, then went to our cousin Tom’s house and made cookies.

Since my cousin Katie died a few years ago, her husband Tom has started seeing someone new. She came over from where she lived and we all went to dinner together.

It wasn’t a bad time.

Getting out of dinner we could see our hotel across the lake, and in the other direction fire works and the moon.

Wednesday was my cousin Christine’s birthday. There was a very specific schedule set out for this, so we went to get breakfast early. I did wonder about the sections of the hotel blocked off, and had to go look. Not really much to see.

My cousin has some significant health issues, and this delayed the plan. With a couple of hours unexpectedly to ourselves we went over to the only Orlando park we like. Gatorland.

I had my photo taken with a little one. They insisted on the snake. I told them I used to have one and didn’t really care about it, but they said it was a package deal.

Not everyone was impressed.

After all, they have birds that surf alligators.

The birds in general are pretty amusing.

We weren’t there super long as the plan continued on.

Once the plan resumed, we went and visited Christine’s cat and then went to the ceramic’s painting place she picked for her birthday.

Then, off to Disney springs for dinner.

Sadly, the restaurant had something in the potatoes that triggered Christine’s allergies so we left quickly until she had some time to recover.

Then, we went around some before bringing her home.

Christmas morning we were at her dad’s pretty early to cook the turkey.
Tom lives in a nice place and while things cooked we watched the birds a lot.

I did the best with my iPhone, Tom might have gotten better ones…

I did pop out to get Christine and we all had a nice dinner.

Tommy did join us by web meeting for a while.

It was a nice day.

Today we were up at 3, at the airport before 4 and in the air by 6.

It was cold here.

The flight went well and we landed over my wife’s workplace.
