Week in photos
Apr. 5th, 2026 04:58 pmA joke my wife and I have is that steel plates in the road bloom in the spring along with everything else. This week I saw them "blooming" near work.

We continue to have elevator problems at work. It seems like each day one of them is closed and they’re trying to fix the other. I continue to take the cargo elevator.

The beverage dispenser seemed to get really into April Fools day this week.

It was nice enough outside this week that folks were eating lunch outside. But, the pollen was still high, so I stayed in.

I’m taking back roads home rather than the highway. It has more interesting signs, even if I need to zoom in to read them.

My doctors need me to donate money in their name?
Well, that’s too bad.

I’ve been setting up the details for the cruise my wife are taking this coming fall. We looked at flying in a nicer class than normal, but decided not to do so.

It’s been about 2 years since I left that life science company. It looks like my selling my stock when I did was NOT a bad choice.

The police in my town publish their statistics each month. I find it very interesting.

The red buds on the trees, that cause my worst allergies, have started shedding. So, hopefully my worst symptoms will be over soon.

My wife and I had Friday off and went to our favorite deli for lunch.

The Indian supermarket near us was VERY busy and running out of parking. Across the street from it is an old closed supermarket. There are rumors of another Indian market opening there. This will probably cause issues.

It looks like local building companies are making Legos in cement these days.

By long tradition, my wife and I have lobster over Easter weekend. The market we went to for it was quite busy.

As it was Easter Sunday, we didn’t hav sword practice. It was a cold and foggy morning, so we had a nice Easter Buffet where we saw Mr. E. Bunny.

On the way home we saw some big pot holes.

And, found half the town has a water problem do to a pipe break. We’re on that red line, but seem to have water, so that’s good.
