There was an Australian band in the 80’s I like called Big Pig.
Only one of their songs ever got much play in the US and that was because it was on the Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure soundtrack.

I bought the band’s album and like most of the tracks. I still play it and the songs show up in my playlists.

I was looking up something about the group on line a couple of weeks ago and saw mention of their second album.
3 dozen years and this is the first time I’ve heard of it.

Not available for download on any of the services I can get to.
Not available for purchase as a CD in any US outlets.
There’s one youtube video of a song from it, and that’s it.

I found a copy on Australian Ebay and bought it for under $10, plus more to ship it. Then, due to tariffs a bit more time and money.

Came in and I couldn’t get my CD reader for my computer to read it. I’ll grant you I don’t use it much these days and it is old and tired.

But, my wife works for the Audio Visual department at a university near here, and they can read pretty much anything.

So, my wife read the tracks and emailed me a link to them.

My email thought it was spam and I had to go fishing for it in my quite full spam filter.
But, I found it.
Then, to log on, the google drive needed to send me a code.
That also went to the spam folder, but this time I had it open.

Then, because of the way it had to be copied, I can load it but they all come in as "unknown" for song, album and artist. So, manually put in the information on all 12 tracks.

I really didn’t think it would be that much work.

But, last year when I found out their one hit was a cover of a 70’s song from an artist from Chicago, that required actually getting an old 45 single and having my wife transfer that for me.

Given my musical tastes, it’s good my wife works in an AV department…

Damn, what a chore.

Google keeps logging me out of the 3 email accounts and keeps telling me "someone" is trying to log in from an unknown device, which is hilarious because it's the exact same MacBook and same DNS address or whatever and same location(s) that I've been using for years.

It's very annoying.

I was also surprised to learn that Big Pig's Big Hit was a cover from an older song. I also learned of the song from the movie intro. You were the one who finally revealed who they were when we first met. thanks for that
