Day 7

We got up and went to the airport. Not hard as we were staying at the airport.

The security was not as intensive as I remembered from 5 years ago. But, they have better scanners now.

There were still many lines. And, when we decide to get breakfast, a very long line.

The flight was OK. 7 hours. But, these days with free video and such.

The good news was when we got to Boston, my wife's purse was waiting for us and was not difficult to retrieve.

We drove towards home, only stopping to get take out from our favorite place.

Now, I'm doing lots of laundry until bed time. And, then back to work.
My boss has been sending me emails about how many problems are waiting for me. Nice he thinks of me when I'm away...

Day 4

Today was excellent.
Our shows went well.
Chaquir and her husband seemed to like them. My wife said having them there made her feel much better as it wasn’t a case of “we flew 5000km to face strangers”. Having them watch our shows made it extra special.

The librarian of the Royal Armories came to see our show. Since it is techniques from a book in his collection. We talked a lot about the latest reproduction they published, his part in it and how happy he was to see people using it. He gave us his card and told us to keep in touch. Sure!

Had a group that seems to do shows very similar to ours come by and compare notes. They do things much like the “silly pirate shows” we do down south. But, at a castle. The only sad part was, we don’t get a castle for our shows...

The event coordinator and museum director both came over and told us what a good show we did and how happy they were we came for it.

It was warm and sunny all day long. Not at all like what usually happens when we travel!

It was fantastic all around.

Day 3

The sword festival went well. It really was like being back at the Higgins.
They let us handle real historical swords. Some a few centuries old.
I had expected 1 or 2. They let us hold 18.
The event coordinator asked me if I needed a microphone for our shows. He didn’t ask for the second show...

As my wife and I left the museum director came over to us and told us how much she liked our show. “Not just entertaining, but educational too!”
Excellent!

Chaquir and her husband have driven from another country to see us! And, we had a very nice dinner with them!
It was nice to meet them in person and hopefully they were not disappointed in us...
