Again, the weather was very good. Unusual for us.

The windows of our room were very good at blocking sound. Very happy about that.

We didn’t need to be at the museum until 11. So, we drove off to two towns south to find and ATM. It took at lot of driving about as Google hates me.

But, we got back in plenty of time, got our stuff and climbed the stairs up to the sword museum for the festival. http://www.klingenmuseum.de/_english/dkm/schwertfestival.html

Our shows were going to be out back.

Their gift shop had some fight manuals that I didn’t have. I’ve got them now!

We were given a little used room in the basement of the museum to change. We shared it with the samurai group.

Before our show was the demo of the sword master from New York City. She’s very good. But, not very loud. I had trouble hearing her over the birds in the tree.

We did our first show and the crowd seemed to like it. The only bad feedback was it didn’t last as long as folks would like. So, we made all the others longer.

After our first show, my wife changed and we looked through the museum.

They have more than just swords.

One of the things we were looking forward to was the hands on of the originals.

They had 18 items out.

This one was my favorite.

This was my wife’s favorite.

The samurai group brought their own floor for their show.

Then we did our second show. Seemed even more popular.

Chaquir and her husband drove over to see us. It was a long way for them to come and we had a very nice visit. We were very happy they came to see us!
After our shows, we met and went out for dinner.

The table next to us had a group from Wuppertal, the town north of where we were. One of the woman there seemed to take a real shine to my wife and kept coming over to talk with her.

They got to the taking photos together point…

But, we had a good time despite that.

Are those possibly egg spoons?

Mostly I'm just amused because of the whole egg spoon discussion. I'm sure they're just regular ladles. They didn't really have single use kitchen utensils back then like we do now.
