I know the scale goes to 12, so 9 range isn’t the very worst. But, the allergies have been hitting me really hard this week. I think because of what it is, not just how much.

The tree pollen always hits me harder than the flowers, grasses or other plans. And, these ones in particular.
It makes my teeth hurt. And, it is just really hard for me to concentrate on much when all the teeth in my upper right jaw ache.

The good news is I’ve found wearing my N95 mask, even in the house, makes it better. And, I’ve got a lot of those…

Me, the person who doesn't like to be touched, can't breath well on his back and don't like to be restrained in any way, got to have five fillings put in to four teeth tonight.
The dentist told me to wait until the novocain wore off before eating so I wouldn't bite my tongue. So, I waited until I could feel my tongue, and then bit my still numb lip quite badly.
I'm glad today is over.

The base joint of my left big toe started hurting Saturday while my wife
and I were walking around the museum.
Yesterday it hurt a fair bit more. And, today it is no fun at all.

My guess is it is gout. It has been before, and this is what it was like.
Acid crystals building up in the joints of my toe is no fun.
It could be just regular old arthritis too. I’ve got that in a fair number
of other joints. And, it’s been acting up as well.
But, my bet is still on gout.

While I wasn’t expecting it, I can’t deny I’ve done things that bring it
on. Traveling down south I drank far less in the way of liquids than
normal, at more meat than normal, and bounced up and down on my feet more
than normal.

If I go back to me 4-6 liters of water per day and stop having pork 3 ways
for dinner, it will probably get better. (It is probably for the best that
barbeque place is 1300 miles away…)
