Because I haven’t felt well this week, I’ve fallen behind on my ironing. I
need to iron my shirts for work and like to do a week’s worth in advance.
As luck would have it, I did two weeks in advance just before I got sick,
so it worked out well. But, now I’ve got to start up again.

So, the question is, how many do I iron?
I’ve got to get tomorrow, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week. But,
then we go on vacation.

Should I stop at 4, or do more to make it easier when I come back.
But, if the world is going to end while I’m on vacation, why bother?
Especially if it is going to end at 6:11 AM, normally when I’m getting
ready for work, but hopefully a time I’ll be asleep on vacation.

I was getting ready to do laundry tonight when one of our neighbors jumped in front of me.
I can't say I really like that. I've got to work late tomorrow and have a big customer presentation Wednesday.
"I'm sorry to cut in line," she said. "But, my daughter just pooped on everything."

Yeah. OK. I can wait an extra hour for that.
There are priorities and I can't deny them. I certainly think it is better to iron my shirts an hour later than have a little girl go to bed in poopy clothes.
Right?

My wife and I were watching a Supernatural episode titled ‘My heart will go on’ where one of the Fates is going around killing people in strange ways.

I needed to iron some shirts, so I was ironing as we watched Fate dispatch people with weird accidents.

I put the iron down. There was a flash, a crackle of shorting electricity, and it caught fire.

It was very strange as it was so close to the sorts of things going on in the episode.

(No worries. Unplugged, out, thrown away. Apparently a frayed cord and too much water from the ironing combined. Sad, now I need a new iron.)

We have to prepay for our laundry here on programable cards.
I've long wanted to get every last cent out of that card. Tonight I thought I was going to.
There was $6.60 left on the card and I had two loads to run.
Sadly, as I finished the third action I remembered they had raised the rate to $1.75 and that would leave me $0.40 on the last load. (Hard to argue since for the first time in the 17 years we've lived here they didn't raise our rent when the lease was up for renewal.)

Sad.
I had to walk out in the rain and recharge the card.
But, some day I will get every last cent off of it!
(It may be a small dream, but there is nothing wrong with small dreams.)

I got up fairly early on a Sunday morning to catch up with my laundry.
I hauled the stuff down to the basement and found both machines full and going with another basket waiting to go in.
Sad.
I had put it off last night because I was tired. And, I really didn't think Sunday before 8AM was a big laundry time.
Hopefully when we get home from practice tonight won't be equally popular.

The good news is this will not change the waffle and bacon plan at all...
