( Some new folks have friended me, so I thought I’d do an introduction… )

In 5 1/2 hours I start the new job.
I wish I was getting some sleep before it, but that doesn't seem to be happening.
Not a surprise. I often don't sleep well before a big event.
But, I wish I did...

( That’s one of the ways I can tell I’m sick, not just having an allergic rection… )

I am sad my career was listed at only #71 on list of best and worst jobs in 2010.
If I had been an astronomer as I had wanted in High School, I'd at least be on the first page.
I'm happy for the librarians I know that you are on the first page.
It's probably too late to change. But, historian is above mechanical engineer. Maybe I can aim at that. It was my minor in college...

As of today, I’ve worked here longer than at any other company.
I am glad to be able to finally say that my longest job wasn’t at that
rotten telecom place.
