More things I hate about dyslexia
Dec. 10th, 2012 02:19 pmOne of the hems on one set of work pants had let go. So, the other day I sat down to fix it. I made sure I had the right leg, checked twice. Only turned the leg that needed it inside out and sewed it up.
Sitting here at work, I noticed one much shorter than the other. My first thought was that my stitching didn't last long. Then, I noticed that I had made the short one shorter and left the long one too long.
I KNOW I checked. Several times.
This is very frustrating as there is just no way for me to get around this. Checking doesn't work because it looks right in my brain.

I hate when that happens
May. 31st, 2012 10:26 amI wrote a post about how much I was not liking doing the performance reviews for my department. How when I was young my father told me this was the worst part of being an engineering manager, and on this he was not wrong.
But, then I pasted when I should have copied, copied when I should have pasted and didn't save when I should have and it all got erased.
I have yet to find a day I'm happy with my dyslexia, but there are days it causes me more trouble than others.
