I don’t know why

11:30 at night. I wake up. I’m sure someone is trying to get ahold of me.

As I sit at my IPad going through all my email, messaging apps, facebook, etc, my wife wakes up and asks me what I’m doing.
“I don’t know,” I said. “I just feel like someone is trying to get ahold of me.”
“Did you know your phone just started buzzing?”
I go over to it on the night stand and my brother was calling. Didn’t know I could get calls here out at sea.

He just tells me the same thing Diane told me about my mother a few days ago, no new information.

I didn’t need to wake up for that.
I could have heard that later by some other method.
I am tired and want to sleep.

I was so done with my father years before he died, but when the time actually came and he was in hospice, my family would not leave me alone. They insisted on giving me up to date, minute by minute info and expecting me to feel things about it. Sorry you're going through this now. It's annoying and sucks.
