fbhjr: (sick)

Normally I hate the heat.  Anything above 70F and it is too warm for me.
And, I’d really rather it closer to 60F.
But, when I’m sick, I like it hot.

So, I could tell I was sick because today I went out for lunch and didn’t
roll down the windows of my car or turn on the AC.  It must have been over
100 in there, but it felt great.
If I was just having an allergic reaction, it would have made it worse, not
better.
So, I really must have a cold or something.
Sad.

My first job out of college had a great hot place for when I felt sick.  It
wasn’t the iron foundry part, although that was very hot as well.
They made wooden buckets for the ice cream machines.  The room dried the
wood was kept about 100F and bone dry.
If I didn’t feel well the combination of heat and dry would dry out my nose
very quickly.
Sadly, I could never find a reason to stay in there very long.
And, that was 25 years ago now.

Hopefully I’ll feel better soon as there is no wood drying room for me now.

Hmmm. But the good news with this new place making Robot Attack Freezers, is you have less likely a chance to have a bag of charcoal
dropped ontop of you in a forklift... :D
