My sister and snow

Today my sister turns 65. Tomorrow, the biggest storm, so far, of our
winter is expected.
My father always told me that my sister was born in a blizzard. That he
had to drive his first wife the 15 miles into Boston to the hospital
through it, and stop to fix a tire on the way.
When I look at the weather records for 65 years ago it is not so clear. It
says 0.0 inches of precipitation, but it also lists as events “snow”. How
could it snow and not leave any?
I’m willing to concede that my father driving his wife in to have their
first child could have magnified his perception of the snow. But, I’m
confused by the actual weather record.
I’m hoping the weather report for tomorrow is wrong. 20 inches/50cm is a
lot of snow all at once, especially with some places getting up to
30”/75cm. And, if it all falls tomorrow afternoon, I’m not sure I’ll make
it to game night. And, game night is one of my favorite things.
I guess we’ll wait and see.
