As you may know, we’ve been working on that smallsword manual from 1692 for quite some time now.
Today was the day to show it.

Last night’s snow wasn’t so bad when all was said and done.

It was below freezing, but clear.

We went off to collect Amy. My wife has been trying to get her to join Phoenix Swords for years. Today was the first day she finally did a show with us.
So, we collected her and drove out west for the show.

It was much less snowy than yesterday.

There was the choice of doing the show indoors our out.
I checked that weather app before deciding.

So, my wife and I decided to do it indoors.

Sadly, for the first show it was just me and my wife, so no photos.

We demoed 1570 longsword, 1570 rapier, 1599 backswords and 1555 sickle.
And, took a lot of questions.

One of the people who attended the show was the superhero Ms Marvel.

I thought that very cool, I’m a big fan of her comic book.

For the second show we had to decide in or out again.

But, we decided that since we were going to be teaching other folks to do it we should go outdoors and get more room.
Our new members and their kids showed up to help.

I was happy they showed up for many reasons. Including that we had pictures of this show because they could take them.

And, we picked the best place we could on the "lawn".

Amy and I did most of the talking.

There weren’t a lot of folks who came out for it. But, icebergs, right?

Our demo part went OK.

Then, we gave out dowels and taught others to do it.

Icebergs.

Maybe we’d have more folks inside, but less room. I still think this was the right choice.

And, the folks who tried did fine.

Afterwards my wife, Amy and I went to a Tibetan restaurant nearby. None of us had tried that sort of food before.

None of us had ever had yak before.

The soup was good, but I ended up with a headache. Don’t know if it was something in the soup or other stuff.

On the streets of Northampton are many folks looking for handouts and such. But, I don’t ever remember seeing someone playing a tuba on the street for money before.

We stopped at the chocolate store again and got more.

Then, back to Worcester.

All in all, not a bad show.

We did decide what the Thursday night group will work on next, but agreed to take a break some before we start working on it.
So, we'll see how that works out.

Love the weather app. Seems to be more accurate than most.
Sorry you ended up with a headache. Might be the spring creeping into the air too.

I've never had Tibetan food either. Sounds interesting.
As long as I don't have to drink tea with butter ...

Amy had the butter tea.
As I am alergic to milk I skipped it myself.
She seemed to like it.
