Final practice
Mar. 1st, 2015 08:49 pmIt was our final practice before our big show next weekend.
Last night
For various reasons we had practice at the home of one of our guest stars who is going to the show.
We stopped for lunch near there on the way to practice. Apparently it is a place people have been stopping at for lunch for a few centuries.

But, we were not attacked by natives while eating our lunch, so it worked out OK.
Of course, when we got to the place my wife was attacked by small chickens.

I’m sure there is nothing strange about children with glowing red eyes placing chickens on your shoulder, right?

Everyone else seemed to think it was OK.

My wife left the baby chickens, came outside, took off her coat and showed her new costume.

The folks there have a lot of bumper stickers on their car…

Statistically, folks with bumper stickers get in more accidents than those without. I’m not sure what this should say about him driving 3000 miles with us over the next week or so.
Sadly, two of the folks going to our show from this area couldn’t make it to practice. (The two who live 300 miles away we know wouldn’t.) So, we will do the show without ever having a practice that everyone attended.
But, Jose did come to most of them. And, earned his new hat.

Of course he found that everyone else realized it could be hit like a bell during our fights. So, how much he wears it is still up for debate.

I’m sure he doesn’t mind his hat ringing like a bell, right?

Still, he took it off for the knife fight.

The daughter of his fight partner climbed up on the roof and started throwing snow down on us.

I’m not sure if she was trying to help her dad, or just liked throwing snow at people.
It didn’t help her dad.

The had may ring like a bell, and gets very cold in the snow, but it is warmer than Tom.

So, Tom put on something to keep his head warm.

I put on my new hat over a hat.

But, I had to admit my new had looked better on Casey.

Not when he’s doing fire.

Casey tried to rig up a fire box to put things out. Theoretically it will cut off air to things in it.
Didn’t really work.

You could tell everyone was excited to do fire.

Once we finished practice, it was still too early to bring

Then, stopped to get our comics.

All right, all right. Animated GIFs…

I didn't know about Williams Tavern. Will have to check that out sometime. Some of Musesrealm's ancestors
are buried in the town we were in. The town has a surprising amount of history that's not necessarily emphasized, compared
to other places in MA.

Date: 2015-03-02 11:12 am (UTC)I'm certainly not saying that they or the people who put them on their car cause the accidents. But in my case, putting on one seemed to draw in bad drivers to me.
