Week in photos
Jan. 10th, 2015 10:39 amIt has tried to snow a few times this last week, but it really has been too cold for a lot of snow.

Unless the storm comes from the south or east and therefore over the ocean, weather that reaches us just doesn’t have all that much moisture in it.
I don’t want the snow pen to disappear, but one of these days it may.

The last morning of our vacation I made a big breakfast for us. (If you can’t tell, our kitchen is small…)

Thursday we resumed our sword research group. We’re still working on the Liancour manual from 1692. http://www.umass.edu/renaissance/lord/pdfs/Liancour_1692.pdf
Our plan is to have a demo of it ready and enough material for a short class when we do the show at Smith College in March.
We want to have some costumes that match the manual. I’ve got a French hat, but it is 250 years too early for this style.

Date: 2015-01-10 10:01 pm (UTC)I doubt we've had 10CM of snow yet this season, and it normally starts in November:

Date: 2015-01-11 03:08 pm (UTC)But, normally by this point in the winter we've had about 50cm of snow. And, that would certainly cover the pen.
Dry winter this year.
