Messages from God

This morning, there was a message in my email with a subject line “A message from God.”
It was not from an email I recognized. So, I figured it was junk. But, you never know. Is email any less likely then incendiary shrubs?
I opened it and was very surprised to learn that God is a Rwandan banker with 10 million dollars he wants to move out of the country. If I’d only share my personal information with him, 10% of that is mine to keep.
Now, that class in a deity. Being omniscient, he already knows my bank information. But, he didn’t have to ask. That’s a very nice touch. None of that Old Testament “Thou shalt fill out thine deposit form in blue ink or be stoned to death” or anything like that.
Now, I’m aware of what tends to happen to folks keeping large numbers of items under God’s care in an African nation when he wants them out of there. Not wanting locust, fire, darkness or the rest, I decided to help.
I closed my eyes and concentrated on my bank account number. Savings account, of course. I’m sure that will be enough. We’ll see how long it takes the 10% to show up. Hopefully 40 days, not 40 years.
I’m assuming that like the message, the exodus of the money will be electronic. However, if the sea parts for the bills marching across the Atlantic I’m sure I’ll hear about it on the news. Hope so, that would be something to see.
P.S. I use the male pronoun above not because I believe God is male. I believe the pronoun for God is God, not he or she. But, I am using what the message contained.
