Summer’s last light

In 2 hours and 22 minutes (as I write this) the sun will cross the equator.
For me here in the north that means the end of summer.

Summer is not my favorite time of year. Fall, which is about to start, is my favorite time of year.
But, I still miss it being warm enough to go swimming. And, it being light when I go to and from work.

I was a bit sad to see the sun leaving.



But, at least this year I didn’t have to chase it in a plane:

I feel the same way, I do love Fall but it takes me a while to accept it when it starts to come.

I really like that first picture. I'm fond of autumn too. Late autumn is my favourite time of year I think.

It wasn't too bad. There is a traffic light at the top of the hill and we had just started down it. Our aparment is on the right only a short distance from the second photo.
