This week we decided to practice some of our fire tricks.

Mostly because we are going to perform some at game night this week.

So, my wife started eating fire again.

But, at least she didn’t set her tongue on fire like [livejournal.com profile] blue_micha

Lots of other fire was done too.

We even let the new people hold the burning fire sticks.

And, of course, Tom:

We did do sword stuff too.

We had some help putting Jose in the bag from his son.

People were very impressed.

On the way home we thought the view across the valley were we lived was very nice.

And, when we reached the other side and looked back, also thought it was nice.

I never had seen a swash buckler, that is so neat. i read the Canterbury tales but i didn't imagine that they looked like that. How neat!

The ones shown in the book from the 1300's are much more plain than these. These are reproductions from a manual in the late 1400's. But, they do look cool, which is why we use them.

You can see a plain one in the upper left photo here:

(It was remarkably difficult to find a photo of one. My wife usually does this technique and does not like photos of herself. And, since she does our web site, photos of her doing this tend to be far away where you can't make it out....)
