This is another trip to Maine in 2001 where we rented a cabin right on the water.

When I say right on the water…

There was a seal that liked to come into the bay and play.

But, not when the tide was out.

It was a nice week. It was only a very short time after the whole 9/11 attacks. It was nice to get away from all that.

When my wife worked at the Ecotarium their zoo department took in many injured animals like this fox.

This is when we buried my father 14 years ago. The man on the far right also buried my grandfather in 1935. He came out of retirement to bury my father as he felt connected to my family.

He is the only person other than my father and his sister who I ever met who knew my grandfather.

And, at 94 years old was still willing to try and do the work.

(I took the shovel and finished the job…)

This is the house where my father grew up, his father grew up, his father and so on.

No one in my family has lived there since my grandfather died 79 years ago.

This is me and my friend Gary. I haven’t seen him in a few years as he moved back with his mother to take care of her.
