This week’s sword practice

The weather was weird today. Cold and rainy at some points, warm and sunny at others.


So, we practiced outside when we could, and went inside when the rain started.

But, there was plenty of time to practice outside.


We also did a lot of paired off exercises with folks watching and reviewing.



We did some distance work with the help of a log too.


Then, we moved on to some of the historical things. Including some Italian moves for fighting people with swords when you only have sticks.


Of course, there are counter moves.


And, there is always throwing spears at them. Even if high...


There was plenty of other stuff going on too.



Then, over to practicing the stage acts we’re doing next month. John, as our newest member gets to play the princess.


He’s also in gender matching clothes for a different one.


There was also practice of the other stories we’re doing.


We spent a lot of time on “The Boy who Cried Wold” or “Sheep story”.


I get to be a sheep.


Tom gets to be “Ram-bo”


After practice the rain stopped and it cleared up.
It is nice and green these days.


Especially in the valley where we live.


And, there was a nice rainbow just near our apartment.

weird weather day in Boston, too. Morning it was rain and soggy to sun then cold and dreary then sun and wamish to breezy
