Practice and other things

Maybe I’m old, a luddite or something else, but part of me really has trouble accepting that the little thing in the palm of my hand holds 32 Gigabytes of data.


Spring is here and there are now real leaves on the trees.

Which means things are already eating them.

And, all that plant sex has resulted in plant seeds.


Spring also seems to bring out bad drivers. Like this farmer who decided to drive down route 135 at 15 miles an hour for almost 5 miles during rush hour.


Or this Jeep that seems to think Stop signs means “charge into traffic!”

(At least this one didn’t hit me like the Jeep that thought right turns from the left lanes were OK.)

Sadly, when shopping yesterday I spilled the hot sauce.

I felt bad for the man who had to clean up my mess. But, he assured me that my telling him about it right away made is easier as he didn’t have to clean up hot sauce footprints all through the store.

Today when we got to sword practice we found on of the trees out front down.

I guess they meant to do that to make sure it didn’t fall.

My wife wanted a photo of us together. This is very rare as she hates all photos taken of her. But, I’m not one to say now when she asks.


It was pretty cloudy and we knew the rain would start at any time.


One of our members we haven’t seen since last June showed up. He was so out of practice he didn’t even know on which side of his body to hold the sword.


Some folks (maybe without my allergies) liked practicing near the flowers.


I stayed as far away as I could.


Other folks practiced all over.


We also spent lots of time getting ready for the kids acts we are doing next month at Silver Kingdoms.
It would take too long to explain this, so I’ll just show the photos.


As the rain started, we all worked on our script memorization.

Not a bad day.

I wish I hadn’t woken up at 4, but what can you do?

The really small data card reminds me of the recorders that the Doctor injected into his and the Ponds' hands to record when they were in the presence of The Silence.

i love my SDI card. i never thought i'd be a phone-camera person, but it's so darned convenient in cases where i've forgotten my actual camera, like yesterday's lilac festival.
