Snow waves & sword practice
Feb. 10th, 2013 08:34 pmWhen I woke up this morning, I found the snow on the railing of our balcony had formed a snow wave.

But, as soon as the sun was on it melting occurred.

Lots of cars had been dug out the day before.

But, the maintenance staff had not cleaned up the empty spots.

This is unlike them. Usually they’re pretty good about that.
But, we got the car out and were soon dashing through the plowed roads.

Apparently some folks dash too quickly on roads still a bit slippery.

We passed another were only the roof of the car was visible on the other side of the guard rail. Don’t know how they’re getting that car back before spring.
It was a beautiful day.

And, there had been a good amount there as well, even if 20 miles south of where my wife and I live.

Snow or not, everyone going to Pensacola next month was at practice.

(I took the photo, so I’m not shown, but I was there too...)

And, lots of fights were practiced. Tom spent a lot of time working with John.

My wife worked with

Jose was working with our mystery sword fighter who does not want their photo taken while sword fighting.

It was warm enough to work outside, but slippery on the driveway.
Tom and John practiced more.

But practice kept going around them.

Then, we ran through all the fights we’re doing in less than 3 weeks.

It is nice as the seasons progress that it is still light when practice lets out.

I particularly like the black and white look of shadows on snow.

It was a very nice Sunday to be driving around looking at New England in the snow.

Then, we went for pizza where some folks like the fire.

My wife went for the sweet potato fries with cheese and bacon.

Between the shoveling and sword practice, she certainly earned them.
