This week’s practice

fbhjrIt has been pretty cold this week, so we had the “jet engine” heater going in the practice space today.
Even with that, plenty of folks stood near the wood stove.
We were happy to see that

morgan_lafaye was recovered enough to come see us again.
If her recovery keeps up then she will be able to go with us.
palusbuteo also told us he could go. So, with the two of them we are just at the minimum number for our contract. I’d like to be above minimum, but I’ll take what I can get.My wife wanted to update the facebook page again, so folks wore costumes today for the photo.
And, when the time came we went out into the snow.
I’m sure this isn’t the final group shot, but it’s the one I picked.
There are theoretically more people than this in the troupe. But, these are the folks who have been showing up lately.
Jose and
palusbuteo showed up late. So, we told them we’d photoshop them in later.
Until I put my hat on Jose, I never realized how much he looked like Genghis Khan.
Anyhow here is my version of the photoshopped file. Maybe I should point out my wife is the one good with the program.
Then, on to practicing fights.
There was also a lot of work done to determine which fight we are going to do where.
As we aren’t going to be able to get
pallid_regina & hms_ennui to come to the show, we are not going to do the Seven Deadly Sins show. It just wouldn’t be the same without them.So, we’re going to do two rounds of judicial duels instead. Figuring out who will fight when to give everyone a chance and not tired anyone out is quite a challenge.
While this was going on inside,
adorabrightmoon was getting long sword lessons from two of our other members outside.
It was a pretty good practice. I was bit sad that it remained cold enough that half our water was solid through the whole thing.
But, that’s winter in New England. And, one of the reasons we’re looking forward to the show in Florida.

I agree, a sword-fighting Panda would be a cool act to fit in to the program - though I assume a Panda would use a set of Chinese swords and not European style. Morgan has the sort of personality to do it well, too!
