Last year Phoenix Swords put on its own faire. We rented Ye Olde Commons
for it and paid a bit over 3 grand for the site for the weekend.
Now Ye Olde is doing an on line fund raiser for a fireplace in its pub area
and for a $1600 donation you get a weekend rental. My wife and I have been
pondering that half price deal for the last week or so.

Last night I dreamed we were talking about it more and had a group of
people come up to us and demand we do our own faire again, and that they’d
fund it for us if we could find a site.
“Looks like we help buy a fireplace,” I told my wife in the dream.

This morning there was an email waiting in my Phoenix account from the
owner of Ye Olde.
That’s a bit weird. But, it was just a question about where we get our
insurance. So, not really tied into the dream.

That kind of precog/synchronicity of dreaming about something or someone
just before it happens always makes me fell weird. Even though it happens
to me all the time.

Interesting. If you think you might do this I am willing to help,at this moment I could cover half of the 1600. I also would be willing to get vendors and such.Let me know.

That does sound like a pretty good deal if you can pick the dates you want without any "blackout" periods. Hopefully we might be able to attend!!

We had a great time last year, and would love to do it again. Hopefully, we'll have a more enticing display! :)

And- while I tried to let people know about it, I apparently didn't do a great job. Several people expressed interest after the fact. J could probably also promote it at work, and I have a friend who's keen who'd probably be willing to put up a flier or something at her preschool.

ETA: It doesn't make sense, though, if you're just going to lose money again. :(
