This morning at work one of the electrical technicians was bragging about
how many songs he has on his iPod. He has about 6000, but admitted he
loads whole albums even if he doesn’t like all the songs.. So, my designer
and I pulled out our iDevices to compare.
“I’ve got about 500,” my designer said. “But, they’re all songs I like.”
“I’ve got 4448,” I said. “But, they’re almost all songs I like. I’ve got
a few I’ve got loaded for theme music for our fire shows and such that I
wouldn’t listen to on my own.”
Then, we compared the “most played” lists. M self (48 years old) and my
designer (47 years old) both had Muppet songs on our top 50 most played
songs. The tech (50 years old) did not.
“You think you’re cool with 6000 songs, but you don’t have the Muppets,” my
designer told him. “That ain’t cool.”
The tech went back to the lab.
