My wife’s love out of stock?
May. 9th, 2012 08:46 amA few years ago I asked my wife for some love.
She handed me a box of Pim’s raspberry cookies/cakes made by LU. (Very
Jaffa Cake like.)
They are one of my favorite cookies/cakes. (I guess there is a big debate
if they are cookies or cakes in the UK as cookies are taxed and cakes are
not. It ended up in court where it was shown they are cakes, but surveys
show most people think they are cookies.)
That box of cookies still sits on our curio cabinet as I don’t want to eat
up all of my wife’s love.
Lately the market near where I work has had a sale on the cookies. So,
I’ve been buying a couple of boxes a week. (It’s a 2 boxes for $5 sale.)
Yesterday when I went to the store, I got the last two boxes.
This worried me.
Is my wife’s love out of stock?
That would be bad for me!
I tried to look up the cookies on the website listed on their box to
discover the company website is gone!
Not a good sign!
However, they are on sale on Amazon.

But, at $3.75 a box! That’s 50% more
than I was paying. I’m not saying I wouldn’t pay 50% more of my wife’s
love, but where will it end?
Does this mean they are out of production?
Will there be a bidding war on my wife’s love?
Will it eventually end up at some fancy auction as the last box of my
wife’s love is bid upon?
Is it right to get cookies delivered to you? It seems indulgent.
If orange ones are supposed to be more popular, why are they sold out of
raspberry?
Does orange count as my wife’s love, or only raspberry?
