I dreamed we were in some place tropical helping someone move.  I think it
was Hawaii, but I’m not totally sure.
There was a lot of antique furniture that had been in storage for a long
time and we were unpacking it and seeing if there was anything stored in it.
I found an old cigar box and pulled it out.
The person we were helping looked at it.
“That’s my snake box,” they said.  (It was not clear in the dream who this
was, man, woman, young, old or any combination.)
I flipped open the box and half a dozen snakes began moving around and
dropping down to the floor.
They were very colorful and stood out well against the grey floor, sheets
over the furniture and dust.
I picked one up with a bunch of yellow, red and black stripes.
I looked at its head and could see it had the fangs of a venomous snake.  I
pushed up on its lower jaw and down on the top one with its fangs out and
venom came out onto my thumb.  It foamed up a bit then evaporated.
“Hey, this one is poisonous!” I shouted.
“Yeah, be careful with it,” the person we were moving said.
I went to put it down.  But, as I let go, it snapped around and bit me
right on the end of my right index finger.
I dropped the snake and it disappeared under some furniture.
I sat down on an antique chair and looked at the two holes in my finger.
“That was a coral snake,” my wife said.  “They are deadly!”
“I think I should get to a hospital,” I said.
“They won’t have anything to help with a coral snake bite,” the person we
were moving said.  “They don’t live anywhere near here and it would take
hours to fly some anti-venom here.”
“That’s not good,” I said, still looking at my finger.
“It works by paralyzing you,” they said.  “Are you having trouble moving or
breathing?”
I thought about it.  My breath did seem very short.  But, I was also pretty
upset.
My wife began tying something around my arm.
“We’ve got to stop it from spreading to the rest of his body,” she said.
“It’s too late for that,” the moving person said.  “It’s already going
through him.  He only has a few minutes left.”
We waited.  My finger swelled up a bit.
Nothing else happened.
“You should be dead by now,” the moving person told me.
“I feel OK,” I said.  “My finger hurts, but that’s it.”
“You squirted that snake’s poison out just before it bit you, didn’t you?”
they asked me.
“Yes,” I said.  “It was less than a minute before it bit me.”
“You must have squeezed it dry,” they said.  “It takes them a while to
build up more.  You are very lucky about that.”
Dream ends

Last night my wife and I were playing World of Warcraft.  She was
specifically helping me get some PVP tokens as I am terrible at fighting
players who fight back.  I was playing my hunter and they can leave a trap
that is basically a box of poison snakes.
So, I’m pretty sure that’s where that came from.
The snake that bit me looked like it was a Texas coral snake.  Just before
we went to bed we saw the ad for the new season of Top Chef that is set in
Texas.  And, it was clear in the ad they were making them cook snake.
And, earlier in the night I had been watching Auction Hunters, where they
buy abandoned storage lockers and look for good things to sell.  The
episode I saw had them finding some old furniture under some sheets, which
is pretty close to what was in the dream.
For Hawaii, I had been thinking the other day how we used to have friends
there, and it was a shame we never made the time to go visit them when they
lived there.  (And, don’t as much as we should now either.)
So, I can see where all the elements came from.
But, it is still a strange result from that mix.

It can be irritating when your real life gets jumbled together and dropped in a heap into your dreams - often any attempt to interpret them/understand any inner meaning is not going to work as they are just "sitcoms" playing in your head - at least, that is what I often view them as. But, the snake bite part could actually be significant - traditionally it indicates a warning or wakeup call to something you've been concerned about. Given that you weren't paralyzed in the dream (or killed), and managed to remove the threat of poisoning before it happened without realizing it at the time, might mean that you already know how to handle the thing that worries you and are capable of dealing with it even if it does cause some concern or minor injury. Possibly the events of the upcoming Mobile fair?

In any case - best of luck. I'm sure that you guys will do well in spite of obstacles, make lemonade out of lemons, and tread through a cow pasture coming out clean and smelling of roses.
