Wegging out

They opened a Wegmans near us yesterday. I know some of our friends have been looking forward to it more than a year. But, I wasn’t sure what all the hoopla was about.
Today on my way home from work I decided to stop in and see.
They’ve built a whole shopping city on top of a hill just off the main road. I hadn’t realized how big the whole thing was. It’s a bit hard to get in and out as well.
The store is huge. So huge it was very difficult to find what I wanted. (Frozen desert, cranberry sauce & soda.) Two of the three I had to ask. Neither of the people I asked knew either. They had to ask their managers. That’s a bit strange that people who work there don’t where the soda is. The cranberry I actually had to tell the guy where to find it. (I said “It’s usually in canned fruit, can you find that for me?”)
They do have a lot of prepared food. But, there was a huge number of people trying to get to it, so I didn’t spend much time there.
They did have my soda, which not all stores in the area have.
They don’t have my frozen treat, which is sad.
When checking out the young woman at the register asked what I thought.
“It’s big,” I told her.
“Too big?” she asked.
“Yeah,” I replied. “I’d say too big.”
“I think so too,” she said.
So, not impressed.
