The good, part 6

There were a bunch of other things that made me happy at our faire.
When we did our fire show Sunday in the rain. And just as we finished
someone said “look, a rainbow!”
It was nice the rain stopped for the breakdown of the faire. Given the
choice, I would have preferred it to wait until everything was done.
But, finishing to a rain bow was like getting some sort of nod of approval
from above.
And, that is pretty cool, even if it meant some rain to make it happen.
The weather made me happy.
Yes, it was hot and humid on Saturday. And, it rained the last 2 hours of
Sunday.
But, the weekend before (the date I had originally wanted) it rained all
day Sunday. That was true of all three weekends leading up to it as well.
And, this coming weekend we’ve got a hurricane that might still be category
2 all day Sunday and part of Saturday. And, even if Saturday is OK, folks
getting ready for a hurricane aren’t going to be saying “let’s go to a
faire!”
So, all in all, it may not have been great, but it beats the alternatives.
The folks who own and manage the site were really cool, very helpful and
extremely nice at putting up with our issues. Especially things being
delivered when they shouldn’t and helping unloading some things.
They also did the food and drink in the pub and kept the free water coolers
full all day both days.
And, of course, the folks who did come and see us!
Quite true, I had hoped there would be more, but there could have easily
been less and that would not have been good.
So, I’m very happy that folks did come out to see our faire.
