I hate Delta

My flight out to Cincinnati this evening is on Delta.
I hate Delta.

Not because of the time they lost my luggage.  That happens to everyone
sooner or later.
Not because a year and a half ago our flight with them was cancelled due to
a snow storm.  The whole east coast closed, it wasn’t there fault.

It’s the attitude.
In the snow storm, when I called to rebook and they told me it would be
more than two days for the next flight they said I should have planned my
trip better if that would be a problem for me.
I had left 54 hours of extra time before the event I didn’t want to miss,
and they’re telling me that I was in error for not leaving more?
They told me there was no way to get me there before that.  18 hours later
my Southwest flight landed in FL and I had more than a day before my thing.

Today I’m mad at them because they won’t let me pick a seat for my flight
this evening on line.
They claim that the seat selection program isn’t running.  But, I am
allowed to pick one for the flight back.

I know what this means.  The plane is more than 100% full and they don’t
have a seat for me.  They are gambling that by the time I get to the
airport at least one person will cancel and I’ll get their seat.  Hopefully
they’ve reserved the exit rows or something just in case.

If I don’t manage to get to Cincinnati tonight and they tell me it’s my own
fault, I’m going to be pretty mad.

any legal recourse you or your Co. can take if you don't get a seat? By the way is your Co. making you Delta?

Yes, they have to give me some compensation. Depending on exactly what happens it could be a discount or free ticket.
But, to me that is saying "Don't like flying with us, have some more of it!!" and that doesn't make me happy.

Hopefully it will all go well and I'll fly out without problem.

Well, I got a seat. 19B. Not a fun seat as it is in the middle of a row in the middle of the plane.
But this isn't a fun trip anyhow....

I had a similar experience. Though it was on a flight back from Milan, Italy. Very Unhappy Ending to a fairly unhappy trip, too!
