Car porn mud wrestling
Feb. 21st, 2010 09:14 pmFirst, your weekly car porn.
This week, due to high temps, in the mud! Oooo....

Now, on to the stuff I care about:
My wife had some new costuming made. There was some debate over her “projections” and if they were large enough to support a mug.

I guess #2 is a positive result, but I think her having to lean back that far says it isn’t her projections doing the support.
Perrin did get his later for trying this experiment.

But, as long as he doesn’t pick up my wife and walk off with her as he does with

Today we had a guest panel of judges.

I hadn’t planned on this. The last few big faires we’ve done this a couple of weeks before the show.
When we got there today, he had invited some relatives to come see it. I really think it helps having out people do fights in front of an audience. Especially one most of them don’t know. So, this was quite the boon for us.
Our people didn’t seem quite as happy about the surprise inspection.

But, these did fairly well when the heat was on.

I admit, I’m not feeling we’re totally on top of it going into this show. I don’t think it is totally messed up either. I took the scores from the review today and did the statistics. By far most of the fights come out in a nice average range. But, the judges did still say they could tell who was new to it and who had been doing it for years. It would be nice to even that out some more. But, I don’t think we can with just 1 more practice.

Date: 2010-02-23 09:29 pm (UTC)As with one of the large concert bands that I play in, we've added many new members and when everyone shows up, we're almost 80 musicians in the group. However, the overall skill level of the group has dropped with this influx of less capable/experienced players, such that we cannot perform some pieces that we used to be able to do several years ago. This makes alot of us "old soldiers" in the group a bit disappointed, but on the other hand, we've enough members in all sections now that things aren't a crisis if any one member can't make a performance. And 90+% of our audience cannot tell the difference that we're performing grade 4-5 pieces now instead of grade 6 for our shows, and they still enjoy it. Now, when we play in Boston for the Metropolitan Wind Symphony festival, it is more noticed as at least 50% of the audience are fellow musicians who are also performing and at least some of them could tell. But still, we perform as a group well enough to still get invited by them to come back very often , and they are quite selective, so overall we still must be doing OK.
