I like the Olympics
Feb. 16th, 2010 06:36 pmI am not a sports fan. I have sat through 1 football game at the high school in the town where I grew up. I sat through 1 baseball game. The Red Sox won. I’ve never sat through a whole game of anything on TV.
In high school I was on the swim team, so I sat through a lot of swim meets. I’m told that doesn’t count as “real sports” by some people.
But, I do like the Olympics. At least some of the stuff. I don’t watch the hocky there any more then any other hocky game. (Or the basketball in the summer Olympics.)
I do like the sports where people are doing their best to beat a time or score or something like that.
Last night I liked the figure skating. (Yes, some guys do like it.)
I’m not much on the singles of it. But, the pair skating I do like for the movement and choreography. (Yes, singles have that too, but not with two people doing it in concert.)
The only real down side is it is on so late. Last night the figure skating didn’t end until midnight then they went into “the late show”. Sadly a lot of the events I like are in “the late show” because not a lot of folks watch them.
Maybe I can tape it…
