I joined my wife and her friend Amy for the MIT sword research group tonight.
It was interesting. There are some people I like working with there. Folks I used to work with when we did demos at the museum as well as some folks I hadn’t met before.
But, while it was nice on one hand, there was a reminder of just why I stopped doing demos for the museum.
I like the historical research. I like investigating new moves and such. (OK, it was a manual from 1509, so old moves. Very old moves. 501 year old moves. But, new to me.)

But, I really do hate going into Cambridge. And, less than half the time there was working on the manual I like. (Actually a different publishing of a manual I’ve worked on a fair bit before. So, it did give me some insight into some things.)

Don’t know. We’ll see...

with the Cambridge thing - that is the one area where I'd always have trouble finding a parking place or getting to where I needed to go the first time in. I think that the cowpaths were especially twisty in that area hundreds of years ago..

Yup.

Driving into the Cambridge/Somerville/Medford area last nite was esspecially bothersome with the weather, which was surprisingly worse the further into Boston we went, wheras Worcester area wasn't so bad, if just wet roads.
