The squeaky wheel
Jun. 16th, 2009 08:27 pmSadly, no news on the job front.
The best leads this week were from people I met at the funeral. I feel sort of bad about that. I wasn’t there to network and look for a job. But, if folks I’ve known for years come up and say “I’m working as a recruiter” or “I’m head of personnel at a plastics company” I send them a resume when I get home.
But, so far nothing from that other than a “I got it, I’ll let you know if something opens up.”
The big news is that the state has changed it’s unemployment web site.

That’s right, now they tell you what to do with your form!
I suspect I was not the only person to ask and complain.

Date: 2009-06-17 06:30 pm (UTC)Amazing how the wheels of bureaucracy turn when they are given some 'encouragement'! Sadly, I expect that it was you, and many thousands like you, that finally got to them to get their act together.
