It was about 90 today, dry and windy. So, pollen was doing its best to make my red car yellow.

It was so bad that I needed the windshield wipers to clean it off.

As part of the “clean the house” project I finally found a new home for the exercise bike. There is nothing wrong with it, I just have a bicycle now and don’t need the stationary one.

As I carried it out to my car a woman walking through the parking lot scowled at me.
“You’re not throwing that out, are you?” she asked.
“Driving it to a friend’s house,” I said.
Granted, my car isn’t in the best of shape, but it is distressing to see it confused with the dumpster.

And, the power locks on it have started being very strange. They are now randomly locking and unlocking whenever they feel like it.
On the same day that a Terminator movie opens.
Coincidence? I doubt it.
The machines are starting to take over and starting with my car!
(Despite that, I liked the new movie. Terminator movies have a habit of having things out of dreams I’ve had. It is very strange seeing them on the screen...)

I’m also happy to say my phone rang again today!
Yes, the local police were looking for money.
You would think they’d know where to find it, wouldn’t you? Put some detectives on it!

As there is an excellent chance tomorrow will mark 2 weeks with no progress at all on the job front, I signed up for both job fairs next week. It probably won’t help, but it won’t hurt, right?

LOL--poor car!

I can't say I have been there with the locks issue, though. But since I'm too cheap to get a car with automatic locks, I am doomed to spend the rest of my days telling any person riding in my car to lock the door when they get out, then having to lean across and lock it myself whenever they forget (which is only always).

:-)

Good luck with the job fair!

When I bought my car (used with 70000 miles on it) everything worked well.
But, electrical problems have been slowly moving forward.
It started with the back windshield wiper. At first, it only worked when the front ones were on. Then, when the front ones were on an spraying washing fluid. Then, when the front ones were on and front and back were spraying. Then, nothing.
Then, the dome light. For a while it went on when I closed the doors, and off when I opened them. Finally, off forever.
Now, the locks...
At some point it will get to the computer in the engine. Then, my car will turn into a terminator and that will be that.

The job fairs are until the end of next week. But, I needed to sign up now.
Thank you for the well wishes!

I think you mean Terminated :(

I've been contemplating getting a wagon myself for my next car. I've been considering Subaru Legacy and Outback.

I also need to come by practice soon and see if the tent will fit in my car (and hope/pray there is then enough room for my art stuff and Ladyhawke's books)

Plan B is to look at buying an EZ up shelter or tent.
Plan C is to be drastic and consider renting a minivan or wagon for the weekend...

Good luck on the job fairs. As you said, it's *something*, better than nothing. My workplace is getting very very slow, almost had to leave early, and will be able to go in tomorrow, hopefully half a day at least, but not have any work to come in for on Tuesday. There is a bunch of work, but I have to wait for other departments to do their things first.

"I think you mean Terminated :("

No, I mean it will transform like a Transformer (evil one), take out a plasma rifle and go to town with it.

We'll be at practice on Sunday (as will the tent)

My Nissan Xterra had similar doorlock issues..

I discovered that the problem was actually the remote control keychain - very cheaply made, and buttons on it started to make contact just with it dangling from the ignition while driving. Very disturbing - sometimes if I hit bumps at the right speed, they would seem to lock/unlock in time with the music on the radio. Removing the battery from the remote control solved the problem, though I then had to resort to the "old fashioned" way of unlocking the doors..

I hope that your car doesn't turn into a transformer - those terminator machines are bad enough to stop, the transformers were REALLY nasty (unless your sedan turns into a liquid metal terminator model....)

No, it's the switch in the driver's side door, not on the keychain. The keychain battery died ages ago and I never replaced it.

I'm not sure what kind of terminator it will become. It is a Saturn and mostly plastic...
