Tree sniffing
May. 15th, 2009 07:14 pmI found Pollen.com is now showing 30 day reports on pollen by zip code.
That’s cool as I like seeing what effects it. Guess which day was rain...

Tonight was very nice, so my wife and I went out for a walk after dinner. She likes to smell the flowers.

She doesn’t like to walk on roads without sidewalks, which is a lot of roads around here.

But, we took the Ent-path, which is much greener these days.

I suspect the ent is happy because the town is finally picking up the fallen branches from 5 months ago.

Either way, my wife’s favorite is in bloom, and she’s happy about that.

I’m happy she’s happy, even if buying more Kleenex at the same time.
The sad news, this is the first week since I was laid off with nothing at all for progress on the job front. No calls, no emails, no rejections. It's like everything I put out there fell off the edge of the world.
Sad.
Maybe the giant turtle ate it...

Date: 2009-05-16 03:54 am (UTC)Don't get too glum about the lack of job-search communication. According to our favorite astrological-guru, we're smack dab in the middle of a Mercury retrograde until May 30th - so all communications (and people) are liable to be unreliable, act wacky, or miscommunicate. It is fine to meet with people, etc. at this time if you can manage it, but it supposedly isn't a good time to be "signing on the dotted line" either. So, I say just try not to stress too much about it right now. I know, easier said than done, but we've all been in this type of situation before, and I am sure that you'll come out of this one with the right job at the right time. You should come up to visit sometime for a change of scenery - I'll figure out what my schedule is going to be the next few weeks and float some dates at ya. We even have a brand new guest bedroom - never been slept in by anyone yet !
