Game night May

For more than 20 years, every May our group of friends had an annual cookout called the Bring Your Own Steak party. Depending on the year and the rain there were anywhere between 6 and 130 people that would show up.

(We stopped the year we put on our own faire as it was just too much to do both. Once the chain was broken...)
So, sort of in honor of that, this month’s game night at

(As their house was the site of the last BYOS party, that makes extra sense...)

It was smaller than many of the old BYOS parties, but still fun.

As spring is here, we went outside and played bocce.

The lawn was fairly deep, so there were points we lost sight of the target ball and had to have folks mark where it was for targeting.

I practiced my juggling.

Josh, who is a much better juggler then me, tried to do a trick with taking them over and giving them back. But, that just confused me when one disappeared.

I’m not a good juggler and it doesn’t take all that much to confuse me. He was able to juggle 4 of them. They’re fairly large and heave for that and I was impressed.
We played until it was getting dark.

Then, we played our standard Girl Genius game before going off to see Star Trek.

All in all, it was a very fun game night.
