fbhjrI was laid off today. For the first time in 18 years I do not have a job.
My boss was very nice about it, as were the company representatives who gave me the deal.
They were far nicer than other places that have laid me off in the past.
But, it is still sad.
I was still very sick. So, at least I got to go home, right?

Date: 2009-03-31 04:25 am (UTC)It really bites to be looking for a job in this economy, but I am certain that a good engineer like you will fine a better, more sane place to be before too long. I'll keep my eyes are ears open for ya, too.
Might want to check out a website called "linkedin.com" (Gary and I are members, as are many other tech professionals I know) - getting leads on job contacts, references, etc. is useful/helpful in that site. But for now, just try to decompress, try to relax a little and get your health back before you take on anything else!
