There was an article in one of the local new services about them opening up a time capsule buried decades ago and the whacky predictions of what life would be like in the future.

But, it is very weird to me as the capsule was burring the years after my wife and I got married and moved to the apartment we live in now.

It is very strange to me that what isn’t all that long in my memory is time capsule worthy.
Just how much in the future are we?
Don’t seem enough.

Especially since I’ve been shopping at that mall where it was buried since the 1960’s…

28 years is an odd number, and awfully short for a time capsule. I usually think of them being buried for a lot longer than that.
