Week in photos & this week’s practice

ancestry.com came up with this photo that seems to be of my father (on the lap of the solider) and my grandmother (in the chair on the left). The others are not clearly called out but I suspect that to be my great grandfather in the center, and maybe my aunt as the second child.
The photo must be more than a century old as my father would be 106.5 years old if he were alive now.


Meanwhile when work gets to me I play with my lightsabers.


These are supposed to be different from each other…


The autumn is here and the leaves are also changing color.


Friday was game night and we set out just before sunset to go to our friends for what may be the last cook out before winter sets in.



It’s nice to see folks in person. This is the first one we’ve attended since July.


I don’t know the translation of the first game we played, but I think it must be something like "watch other players drown."


We played twice. None of us did that well at it.


The second game involved bugs, frogs, rats and bats.


I guess the point is to make one of the other players have 4 of one of the kinds of animals.
I played to get at least one of each…


Then, back over the rainbow bridge to home.


Today we went out to get things needed for the house. I was glad no one parked as close to me as these two neighbors to each other.


I didn’t know guns read. But, apparently at some stores they have a library.


There was also supplies being gathered for my wife to make pies…
