I couldn’t get the time off to drive, so I worked while my wife and the others drove south.

They made it to the faire site before I even left to go to the airport Friday.

Friday traffic around Boston was not great, but I made it to the plane on time.

I’m not sure why they thought folks should sleep at 6PM, but they turned out the lights as we headed to Atlanta.

When we left Atlanta, I wondered if the pilot was heading to the wrong city in Florida, but they changed course.

Although I didn’t get there until almost midnight, I got up early for Waffle House.

We got to the faire site about 8 in the morning.

They have a deal where if you give blood they give you a free ticket to the faire.

We had limited equipment this year, so less swords and no rack to hold them.

But, lots of balloons that needed to be blown up for the kids games.

The weather was nice.

And, our shows went well.

Another group we like was there too.

As the sun went down, we switched to fire.

The boy of glass took the photos of the fire show, and did a very good job.

It was quite dark when we headed out.

The next morning, back to Waffle House…

We stopped at the funky truck stop on the way.

Everyone was excited for day 2.

The boy of glass took to the air.

It was more cloudy, but warmer. Almost 25C. Back home it was snowing.

And, it ended with another fire show.

Monday morning, my plane took off at 5:20 in the morning.
I did get to spend more time in Atlanta.

I cashed in my frequent flyer points for a seat upgrade and was in seat 2 going home.

By the time I took off, my wife had almost caught up in the car.

But, my plane jumped ahead.

Maybe she’s down there on the highway…

Only a few hours later, we were landing in Boston.

We came in over the JFK library and then landed in the rain.

I grabbed my luggage and brought it home to do the laundry.

My wife got home about 18 hours later. We’re both still tired…
