We started by going up in that big tower to have a look around.
I’m not sure what normally goes on in that tower give the signs and graffiti.

It is a nice view at the top.

You can see a long way across the forests of Connecticut.

And, you get a great view of the casino they’ve got there…

This is the closest I’ve been to the casino, and as close as I expect to get…

It’s a nice museum that has clearly been built with space for special events.

Even the butterflies like it.

They have an interesting exhibit on the ice age and folks coming here across the ice bridge.

But, I’m not sure they did it then by escalator…

They do have a nice mastodon.

They have a lot of nice dioramas about life then.

They have some stuff you can touch.

They had an interesting comparison of tools then compared with tools now.

They also have a full sized village diorama that you can walk through.

Including homes you can walk into.

They also have an interesting combination of artifacts.

They had benches too.

They also had a very interesting exhibit on the Pequot war: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pequot_War
My family lived in those towns at the time it happened. They must have been involved.
I thought I recognized a name, but going back and looking this morning it was a town they lived in, not their name.
But, it does make me wonder what part they played in it…
However, we had to go off to do a sword fight and didn’t quite finish looking around.
I’m sure we’ll go back at some point.
