The power of caffeine compels them!
Jan. 27th, 2017 09:11 amLast night my wife and I were coming home from dinner when we watched a car switch to the wrong side of the road and start coming right at us.
The good news is that before they hit us, they turned into the Dunkin Donuts on the side of the road.
Having examined it on Google Earth this morning I see the problem.
Driving on the wrong side of the road is only 15% of the distance they need to go instead of legally going to the light and turning around!

Just think of it, you can save 85% of your trip to caffeine, and all you have to do is risk your life and the life of other people on the road by driving on the wrong side!
Given this was about 7 at night, they must have REALLY needed that caffeine.
What worries me is that the Dunkin Donuts isn’t overly visible from where they used a turn lane to cross onto the wrong side of the road. That means it wasn’t someone getting lost and not knowing how to get there.
This was someone who knew where it was and didn’t want to go “all the way” down to the light to turn around.
Meaning, they’ve probably done it before. And will again.
I like caffeine. But, I’m not willing to risk my life for it.

Date: 2017-01-27 05:26 pm (UTC)I've got cars coming towards me regularly when I drive to the parking lot at work. Because you are not allowed to turn left there and they have those little fence things in the middle of the road so people just drive on my side of the road to turn left ... argh!!!
