Week in photos
Jul. 31st, 2016 08:47 amI think my car is trying to grow a new car antenna.

It has been a hot and humid week with lots of clouds about. This means some nice sun rises and sunsets.

But, the hot temperatures are not always good on candy…

And, some big clouds often about.

I’m trying to figure out how to use these to lure more powerful Pokemon in…

But, all I get is the small ones…

If I could make a stew out of the rats, caterpillars and birds, I’d eat forever.

For a second I thought I found a rare one, but it was just two rats in one place.

My wife seems to find the rare ones…

There are rumors that they show up more where cellphone signals are dense. I did see lots of them when we had dinner next to this cellphone store.

They did come up with a way to track where Pokemon Go is down.

There often seems to be a blob over me…

My wife needed a step-ladder for work, so we went ladder shopping.

I accidentally slammed my photo backup drive in my desk drawer. The drive is OK, but the cable broke. Good thing replacements were cheap.

I spent a lot of time in my town’s Pokemon center.

There are 4 supply depots and a gym in this photo.
There is also a fire department that drives through the area quickly. So, watch where you’re walking.

There are more depots and gyms in the cemetery, but I rarely bother.

The path up the town square has little historical markers to the side.

Not all of them are about good things the town has done.

One time (cheating by driving) I was headed to the center of town I saw a mother turkey with chicks in tow.

They were very cute.

Another trip I saw this fellow around. I wasn’t as tempted to get close.

Often this week the challenge was to get to the center of town and get home before the rain started. (We’ll pretend that’s why I drove up there. Not that I’m lazy…)

Buying gas Friday I saw a Kenobi. I don’t think it is Obi Wan…

I’m glad we went to New Hampshire last weekend, as the traffic going north seemed even worse this weekend.

After diner Friday we went to the bookstore. I thought it was interesting that history books are using TV to try and get you to read them.

Saturday I went into Worcester for more chicken wings.

At the end of August there is going to be some sort of mural event. That should be interesting…
Saturday night I went out for pizza. I like the conveyer belt ovens. I got an extra pizza as they made mine wrong the first time.

So, this morning I had lots of pizza for breakfast.
Today the god kids are going to show up to spend a week with us. I expect it to be a busy week…

Date: 2016-07-31 04:18 pm (UTC)The whole "This history book might be like a TV show you like" add stuck me as very strange.
But, lots of folks have very funny ideas about history. (Like it was boring...)

Date: 2016-08-01 11:12 am (UTC)I thought I had read/heard somewhere recently that Martin's depiction of the North Wall and the Northlands on his experiences in Chicago in the middle of winter….Not necessarily from a historical event.

My nephew stayed with me from time to time and we actually had fun. It is still an adjustment have young people in the house, though.

Date: 2016-08-03 09:08 am (UTC)Dragonfruit!! I have never seen one of those but I have tried dragonfruit flavoured drink and I have a dragonfruit scented spray. They're really cool looking!
I love those conveyor pizza ovens too. A few places here use them. A great invention!
