Week in photos

Our air-conditioning was fixed, which was good as much of this week was hot and sunny.
We had pop up thunderstorms several days as well.

Most of the flowers have gone, but there are still a few.

Getting the air-conditioning repaired meant emptying the closet. There is a lot on the closet.

I downloaded the Pokemon game and found my first one in the trash can of our apartment.

And, I have to admit I went out into our apartment complex that night looking for more.

Wednesday I had my physical.
I’m fat.
The doctor doesn’t like that.
My blood pressure is low. My cholesterol is low.
My blood sugar is under the limit, but not by a huge amount. So, she went on about that for a while.
I did promise her to walk more. That works out well with the chase the Pokemon around game…
I had hoped that going in late due to the doctor’s appointment would mean no traffic.
I was not so lucky.

I’m not saying I play the game at work. If these look like photos where the background looks like my work place, I’d say that it is a coincidence…

I thought this one was one.

But, it turned out to be behind me…

The other is just a gas tank. (That might or might not be in the delivery room at work…)
This certainly isn’t one on the conference room table during our department status meeting…

And, I certainly can’t capture these at work…

No matter how hard I tried, I could not catch this one.

I thought this looked alligator like. But, it was just a log.

I don’t know what made this path, but it isn’t an imaginary thing on my phone…

I did find people play cricket in my home town.

I had no idea.

I don’t know enough about the game to know if they are doing it well or not. But, it’s cool that they are doing it.

And, walking about town in the evenings isn’t a bad thing.

I like this yard, not too far from here. It’s cool to have a stream in your yard.

(The house itself looks far too small for me. I probably couldn’t stand up straight.)
Of course, our apartment complex has a stream running through it too…

I hear all sorts of stories about folks having bad things happen when they play the Pokemon game because they aren’t watching what they’re doing.
But, I watched a guy try and cross the major road near us, during morning rush hour.
He wasn’t playing the game…

As you may remember, I count the colors I get of M&Ms and keep track of it.
This week I got a white one. Never had that before…

At work we had a fire drill when it was 94F/34C. Folks were happy to go back in.

I can say that downloading that game has increased how much I’m walking.

(This is actually a bit of false data. I often walk more than it shows. I just usually didn’t take my phone with me. But, I have increased the amount.)
Friday was game night. The weather was good so we cooked out again.

We had a good showing this month.

But, those Pokethings were there too…

(A lot of the folks there play…)
We played "The Last Banquet". It is a game for a lot of people.
It involves standing and changing chairs a lot.

Not everyone liked this type of game…

Then we played Bandu, which is putting things on other things.

I liked how mine looked, but it didn’t last well.

Others looked nice and stayed up.

Some folks did very well.

Then, we played cards. Regular cards. Hearts.

We stayed fairly late and got home about midnight.

Today we went to see the new Ghostbusters movie.
My wife and I both liked it.
In a strange thing, coming out of Ghostbusters, I caught a Pokemon ghost…

Then, a nice lunch.

At the store we found that someone had opened a bag of cookies, taken some and then put the open bag back.

My wife and I have a low opinion of that.
Do you know the muffin man?
It’s this guy.

This evening I did another Pokewalk. The local animals seem upset folks are ignoring them.

There were some folks in their 20’s playing frisbee.

Don’t they know about the new game?
These are places to battle Pokemon in my town.

There were a couple of dozen folks walking around the center of town chasing them.

I headed home when the weather started looking bad, and it did rain.

I had walked to the center of town pushing my bike and then rode it down hill home.
That works out well…

Makes you think you're getting stuff done.
