First spring sword practice
Mar. 20th, 2016 08:13 pmDespite spring starting just after midnight, it was a cool grey day.

A few flowers were trying to prove it is spring.

With up to 8" (20cm) of snow coming tonight I don’t know how they will do.
But spring like or not, we were ready.

Our new show is at a science fiction convention at a women’s university. Amongst other things we’re going to be teaching people there moves from the i.33 manuscript.

So, we spent some time practicing that.

John is trying very hard to get his wife interested in picking up a sword.

He continues to fail to convince her. This seems to surprise him.

Despite this, he continues to search for something she may like.

I have to admit, she seems to like the pole arms better.

But, we did do some actual sword practice too.

Afterwards we took the final things brought back from Florida to storage.

Since I never put up photos of last week:
The person who rents his garage to us for sword practice also works on rebuilding his car.

He’s done a great job.

Most of last week was polishing the swords after a winter’s worth of practicing and a trip to Florida.
He was nice enough to let us use some things to make this easier.

Sorry, but there just aren’t that many interesting photos of folks scrubbing rust off of swords and other weapons.

But, they look better when done.
