Week in photos

With the Daylight Saving time change last Sunday I am now driving to work just before sunrise again. And, it does look nice.

Some days this week were just foggy.

My wife made cookies. The folks in my department at work were very happy about this as I brought most of them in.

The New York Times runs this ad that seems to me to be saying "75% off of my vote for 12 weeks". I know they’re saying that much off of the paper cost. But, that’s not how it reads to me.

Thursday was Saint Patrick’s day. The lunchroom at work did corned beef.

Both Thursday and Friday the sky looked very strange.

Also Thursday, my new memory came in. Because the Apple Store wouldn’t sell it to me, I got it 4 days later than expected. But, only paid 27% of their cost. And, it only took me about 10 minutes to install it.

I’m happy to report it makes a significant difference in my computer and things are running much faster.
Friday we had pouring rain in bright sun. An unusual combination that is hard to photograph.

Friday was this month’s game night. Because of that Irish guy, I cooked corned beef.

Then we played Mysterium. It is a very interesting game. But, the directions were less than clear. We ended up finding a youtube video that explained it much better than the rules.

Some folks just like playing with the "crystal ball" playing pieces.

One of the things I like about the game is that it is cooperative, not competitive. Everyone wins or everyone loses.

We took up enough space playing my pie wouldn’t fit on the table.

The all or nothing is a problem if one person has not finished everything.

But, we got everyone to the finish line.
It probably helped Katherine was giving advice as her husband was the one giving out clues and she clearly got them better than the rest of us and finished first.
Today was the first day of spring!
Yesterday, the last day of fall was very nice.

We’re expecting a big snow storm tonight…
I still drove off to get my hair cut. I’ve always liked this view of Worcester.

My wife and I had intended to have lunch at "Big Al’s Sandwich Shop", but found it closed.
Since we were already in the North East corner of Worcester we went to O’Connors.

My wife was glad she got the lunch size portion of her meal as it gave her lunch and dinner.

The snow is supposed to hold off until tonight. So, we’re still going to do sword practice.
It occurs to me I never put up last week’s practice photos.
Maybe I’ll put up both last week and this week’s later…

Date: 2016-03-21 11:35 pm (UTC)I am envious of your sunrises. Sometimes I have to go to work as the sun is rising but I haven't seen many cool sunrises lately because of the thick clouds. Can't complain though, we've had rain!
